Research group in Health Technology
The research group in Health Technology at Turku University of Applied Sciences produces research, development and innovation services for the needs of health technology. By creating health technology applications, systems and operational procedures, we produce customer-oriented solutions which support and maintain people’s quality of life, well-being, health and functional capacity.
The themes of our research and development projects include:
· product development in health technology, considering the regulations of medical devices
· development of services associated with health and well-being.
· AI applications and robotics
· information management
· usability.
Cooperation partners may utilize the test platform in the Health Tech Lab for user-oriented design and testing. The cooperation partners of the research lab include companies, hospital districts, municipalities, health care organisations, third sector actors, higher education institutions and research and development units.
The research group in Health Technology is active in cooperating with the operators of Health Campus Turku and Tech Campus Turku in issues related to health technology. We also collaborate with the Department of Computing at the University of Turku and the Hospital District of Southwest Finland. As a result of Health Campus cooperation, we have e.g. created a collaboration platform for companies, through which the needs of companies are brought to the services of organizations
